After being drafted into the U.S. Army as a teenager and spending three years of war in a foreign land, I returned to my homeland no longer a teenager but a man. Unlike most soldiers who returned to their roots of small towns and farmlands, I joined the millions who settled in Manhattan. Commonly known as the 'Big Apple,' it was here I pursued turning childhood dreams into reality. Many of those dreams were realized due to a great city, which freely and generously opened doors for an education and opportunities far beyond what I ever imagined as a child. Not only was I admitted to the most prestigious school of music in the United States and perhaps the entire world, but I was also accepted at New York University to complete my academic education. During my long New York tenure, I stood on some of the city's foremost theatrical stages, including Broadway and Carnegie Hall. Mentors and teachers were a constant guide and became lifelong friends even after I moved to Hollywood, California. And Then It Was Winter Volume Two brings my life into the sunset years. By accident my wife and I discovered a small village not far from the Mexican border called Green Valley. No longer hassling with a rush-rush world, it is here we pleasantly recall another life that existed in the past.
